On the Question of Susceptibility to Pressure

Some folks on the left have been saying that one candidate or another (usually Obama) is better because he is more likely to respond to "pressure" from progressive forces.

I have a simple question: if you were President of the United States, leader of the only remaining superpower and the biggest and baddest imperialist power in history, what would be more likely to make you respond to pressure -

A) knowing that your predecessor was impeached for his ill deeds or

B) knowing that your predecessor had gotten away with murder (and torture and spying...)?
